Abstract The production and application effects of concentrated beating in straw pulp and waste pulp were discussed from the aspects of pulping pulp quality, paper product performance, beating energy consumption, etc.; the “internal friction effect†was proposed in the medium and heavy beating mechanism, which enriched the beating theory. The reasons for the superiority of medium-strength beating are described.
