The solvent in the ink is also not easily volatilized, and the ink can be kept clean. The double-squeegee inking system eliminates the need to adjust the blade angle and position. Once positioned, the wiper system can be quickly installed. Almost all modern flexo printing presses are equipped with this squeegee system.
The actual use of the blade should also pay attention to the installation angle and anilox roller pressure, pay attention to choose the thickness of the blade, the shape of the blade and the material of the blade. The reverse blade installation angle in flexo printing is generally 30-40 degrees of tangent. The angle depends on the number of screen lines and the pressure of the blade. In general, the number of screen lines is higher and the angle is slightly larger, but the pressure between the doctor blade and the anilox roller is correspondingly increased. The matching pressure between the scraper and the anilox roller is related to whether the scraper can scrape the excess ink layer and also directly affects the service life of the anilox roller and the consumption of the scraper. Attention must be paid to the adjustment.
The thickness of the commonly used steel scraper is 0.1mm, 0.15mm, 0.2mm, and the knife edge is divided into a flat blade, a beveled blade, and a thin scraper blade (see Figure 3).
There are also users who use poly plastic scrapers. The thickness of plastic scrapers is generally 0.35mm, 0.5mm. There are also points for flat blades and inclined blades.
In flexo printing, the thickness of the steel scraper is generally 0.15mm. If the ink viscosity circle is large or an anilox roller with a lower number of screen lines (above 400 lpi) is used, a flat blade scraper should be used; an anilox roller with a high mesh number should use a thin blade or a bevel blade scraper. Generally in the full version of adhesive printing, 0.15mm flat blade steel scraper is mostly used. The squeegee is generally used in a closed squeegee system and is mostly used as a positive squeegee having a sealing effect. The plastic scraper wears the anilox roller accordingly, but the surface of the anilox roller is more demanding. In other words, the plastic scraper can only be used when high quality anilox roller is used. It is necessary to choose the material of the scraper. Pay attention to the brand.
