The more important purpose is to make the color displayed on the monitor close to the printed product color and truly achieve "what you see is what you get." In addition, if a third-party display color correction tool such as Radius Calibrator or Daystat's Colorimeter 24 is installed, one of the color correction tools should be selected, otherwise the monitor will be Generated incorrect color correction.

Gamma color correction process:

1. There should be a warm-up time of half an hour after the monitor is turned on to keep the monitor in a stable state;

2. Raise the indoor light source to a level that can be kept constantly, and turn off the extra light source to prevent these dynamic changes from affecting the display setting brightness and contrast.

3. Turn off all desktop graphics and set the background color of the monitor to neutral gray so that it does not affect the vision during the calibration and helps to adjust the gray balance.

4. Gamma value setting. In the Macintosh apple menu option, select Control Panel Gamma to open the Gamma panel and select ON in the lower left corner to turn it on. If you do not find the Gamma panel in the Control Panel, you can open the Photoshop folder Goodies folder. The Calibration file is deteriorating and you can see the Gamma icon when you open it. In this case, drag the Gamma file to the control panel and restart the computer. The settings in the Gamma dialog box will only work for the monitor. At the top of the dialog, select the appropriate Target Gamma, the target gamma. If the output image is a CMYK image for printing, a Gamma value of 1.8 is recommended; if the image is to be output on an RGB color mode device (such as other monitors, film recorders, or RGB printers), the Gamma value is generally set to 2.2; If the image is exported using other applications or platforms, the Gamma value of 1.8 has wider applicability.
