2 Packaging waste PE on asphalt modification test 2. 1 Experimental content Waste PE modified asphalt is a new high-quality road building material with high technological content and high added value. It improves the service performance by incorporating waste PE into the road asphalt, significantly prolongs the life of the road, reduces noise, and improves ride comfort and safety. PE modified asphalt is based on the original matrix asphalt, adding 2%, 4%, 6% of PE modifiers. Under good design mix ratio and construction conditions, the durability and high-temperature stability of asphalt pavement are significantly improved and its elongation and freeze-break performance are improved. A large number of indoor experiments were conducted during the production of PE modified asphalt, and its technical indicators were tested after production. 2.1.1 Experiments and Precautions In order to achieve the effect of the designed mixture, the following requirements need to be put forward in many aspects such as raw material requirements, construction techniques, experimental methods and specifications [3]. (1) Raw material requirements: 1 original asphalt: The original asphalt should be pure, non-weathering, no harmful impurities, and has a good shape of debris. This project selects ordinary petroleum pitch (X-110#) from Xi’an Petrochemical General Plant. The performance indicators are shown in Table 2-1.
