The Scepter - a symbolic item that symbolizes authority or power passed down by human civilization, can still be seen in some major ceremonies and occasions in the West. Especially in universities, from the Age of Enlightenment, Western universities began to use this ritual scepter as a symbol of the power to pursue truth and wisdom through academics, as well as institutional authority, and to use it in some major occasions. Today, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) uses a state-of-the-art computing design and state-of-the-art additive manufacturing process to create an exquisite ritual scepter. The 1.2-meter-long new titanium 3D printing token was officially unveiled at the RMIT graduation ceremony last week. Its structural complexity is breathtaking and is the culmination of today's highest level of manufacturing technology. I'm afraid that except for 3D printing, no other manufacturing technology can make it. According to China's 3D printing network, this scepter is designed by Professor Scott Mayson and Roland Snooks of the school's School of Architecture and Design d___ Lab using a multi-agent group algorithm and fusion using selective laser melting (SLM) metal 3D printing technology. Titanium powder creates a highly complex lightweight structure. This group algorithm is optimized for the SLM process and eliminates the need for 3D printed support materials. In addition, they have added an algorithm to remove unmanufacturable geometries and replace them with structures that can be fabricated using SLM technology. When this complex and gorgeous design was completed, it was sent to RMIT's Advanced Manufacturing Precinct, where Professors Milan Bradt and Aaron Pateras used the center's advanced 3D printing equipment to print it out in four stages. Each section has a unique saddle connector. Each saddle joint is then laser welded together with a microscope, and the final surface finish is done by hand. The finished titanium metal scepter finished a total of 1.2 meters long, and despite its size, it weighed only 1.6 kilograms. In addition, although this noble metal or jewellery is not used on the scepter, its complicated and striking grid design and top-of-the-line titanium additive manufacturing process have made it a gem of art and science. . “The new RMIT scepter combines multi-agent algorithm design research and 3D printing technology to create a new symbol for this school. The project draws on the complexity and ornamental characteristics of the scepter in history, through computational design techniques. Reinterpreted it." Snooks wrote. Silicone Cake Mold
