Part V, Adding Art Text

You need to prepare a copy of this advertisement. We will begin this section by adding two titles to this ad with art text. Because the title is rather short, you can enter text directly in the drawing window. Then you will plan and align the text to the guidelines.

First, add the first title

1. Click on the text tool (Figure Text tool);

2. Click on the blank area under the coffee image and type "What do you take in your coffee?";

3. Click on the text three times to highlight the entire line of text;

4. On the property bar, do the following:
In the font list, select GoudyOlSt BT ,
In the font size list, select 48 ,
Click on the bold text button
Click on the horizontally arranged button and select right from there;

5. In the CMYK color panel, select the white color standard;

6. Insert the mouse pointer before the word "take" and press Enter.

7. Before inserting the mouse pointer into the word "your", press Enter to divide the text into three lines;

8. Highlight the letter "W";

9. On the property bar, do the following:
Select TypoUpright BT from the list of fonts,
Enter 104 in the font size field and press Enter.

Second, align the first row of headings

1. Use the selection tool to select the text;

2. Drag the center X handle and drag it to the intersection of the 7.5-inch horizontal guide and the 5-inch vertical guide. The X handle will snap to the intersection of these two guides.

Third, add the second title

1. Click on the text tool;

2. Place the cursor outside the background and enter "THE FINEST BEANS. (Thank you)";

3. Before inserting the mouse pointer into the brackets, press Enter.

4. Click on the text and drag the mouse to highlight it all.

5. On the property bar, do the following:
GoudyOlSt BT is selected in the font list;
Select 24 from the font size list
Click the bold button;
Click the Horizontal Arrange button to select the center.

Fourth, align the second heading

1. Use the selection tool to select the text;

2. Drag the center X handle, align it to the 3.5" (page center) vertical guide, and align the top of the text to the horizontal 5-inch guideline

Part VI, Add Paragraph Text

Just now, we added art text. This text format is suitable for short lines such as titles, or text that you want to apply effects to. Paragraph text applies to multi-, multi-, and multi-framed chunks of text. It allows special format attributes including characters, tabs, and more. You can create paragraph text by entering text from a text file or by copying the text directly into the paragraph text box.

In this section, we will copy the text from a prepared text file and place it in a light gold rectangular frame. Then align the frame text in the layout.

First, enter paragraph text

1. Click on the text tool;

2. Use the mouse pointer outside the background to draw a rectangular box with a width of approximately 4.8 inches and a height of 1.3 inches in the working window. This is the paragraph text box;

3. Click on the input command in the File menu;

4. Select the ad_copy.txt file in the CorelDRAW installation path and click Enter. You can also open this file in a text editor, copy the text and paste it into the paragraph text box.

Second, planning paragraph text

1. Click on the beginning of the paragraph text and drag it to highlight it.

2. Click Format text under the text menu;

3. In the Format text dialog box, click on Character and set GoudyOlSt with a font size of 12pt.

4. Click on the paragraph, from the alignment list, select the center;

5. Click on multiple columns to activate the Auto matically adjusted frame width option.

6. Click OK. If you need to adjust the height of the frame, drag the bottom edge.

Third, create a framework for paragraph text

1. Select the rectangle tool in the toolbox and draw a rectangle outside the background.

2. In the Object Size box of the property bar, enter the following number:
Width - 5,
High - 1.5, click OK.

3. In the CMYK color panel, select the Glod color scale;

4. Press Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS), click on the white color mark 6 times, fade the rectangle;

5. Open the outline hidden window, select to remove the outline;

6. Enter 40 in the rectangular fillet column to confirm.

Four, alignment paragraph text frame

1. Apply the selection tool, click on the frame containing the text;

2. Select to place into the container in the powerful cut command;

3. Tap the pale gold rectangle; the text is placed in a rectangular box;

4. Select the Place Container command again;

5. Click on the background;

6. Select edit content in Power Cut;

7. Click on the rectangle and text;

8. In CorelDRAW default case, strong cut automatically centered, so do not have to consider the alignment to the center of the page, just the top of the frame text aligned to the 3.5 horizontal auxiliary line on it;

9. Select "End this edit" from the Power Cut command.

Part 7, Input and Placement Identification

We will enter a coffee logo and place it at the bottom of this ad to complete this work.

First, enter the logo

1. Click the familiar command in the file menu;

2. Find coffee_logo.cdr from the CorelDRAW installation path and double-click;

3. Click on the drawing page.

Second, place the logo

1. Enter 3.5 in the x-axis coordinate of the object position on the property bar, enter 0.7 in the y-axis coordinate, and enter to confirm;

2. Click on the guide under the View menu to hide all the guides;

3. Save your work.
