At the beginning of this year, it invested nearly 8 million yuan to newly install a biogas power generation processing device and put it into a sewage treatment plant. The biogas produced is sent to the Huatai Thermal Power Plant's boiler for combustion and power generation.

According to reports, in the past 10 years, Huatai Paper's output has increased by 20 times, and its water consumption has dropped to half. Zhang Shouhui, Group Energy Director, told the reporter: “At present, Huatai Group basically realizes the recycling of papermaking water, and it saves more than 9 million cubic meters of clean water annually; coal ash and cinder make hollow bricks, and it digests 210,000 tons of waste residue and generates income of 11 million yuan. The company also invested 63.50 million yuan to increase waste residue incinerators, and carried out 'reduce', 'resources', and 'harmless' treatment of paper sludge and waste residue, saving 38,000 tons of standard coal annually."

The Huatai Group's water treatment plant produces about 50,000 cubic meters of biogas per day, and the amount of biogas generated per day is equivalent to about 50 tons of standard coal (7000 kcal/kg). The total investment of biogas power generation project is 8 million yuan. Since its implementation, China Huatai has saved more than 18,000 tons of standard coal and achieved more than 1,500 million yuan of annual profit.
