Post-print cutting knife replacement and sharpening notes

1. Tool change

After a knife has been used for a period of time, the knife needs to be changed. Under normal circumstances, the tool change and tool change are performed at the same time. The tool change operation includes the following steps:

1 The blade is lowered to the lowest position and comes into contact with the blade, cutting off the power supply.

2 Loosen the bolt of the blade exposed on the outside of the tool holder so that the blade can be gently contacted with the backing plate and then loosen the bolt. The tool holder (cartridge or blade) is raised to the original position, and the blade is removed and placed on wooden (or plastic). Inside the knife box.

3 Replace the knife. The knife bar is mounted on the work table under the knife. When it is changed, a new knife bar is cut according to the length of the knife groove. The burr on the surface of the knife bar is ground off with a blade or sandpaper and then set in the groove.

Special Note: No movement of the knife bar in the groove can occur; the surface of the knife bar should be parallel to the table surface.

4 The height of the blade and the knife holder should be appropriate. Generally, the depth of the insert pressed into the backing plate is 0.3~1.5mm.

5 When replacing the blade, make sure that the blade edge angle matches the cutting force of the cut paper, then clean the blade with the soft cloth from top to bottom (the cutting edge cannot be wiped). Gently pick up the blade, align the screw hole, and tighten the bolt.

Special Note: Thin cardboard should be placed on the blade, and the blade should not touch any hard objects.

6 test knife. After the blade and blade are replaced, the test tool can be cut empty to check whether the bolt is tightened and the blade is flat. The depth of the indentation after contact between the blade and the blade is in compliance with the requirements. If there is something wrong with it, it can be fine-tuned and then tested with a newsprint or offset paper to test the sharpness of the blade.

Special Note: Can not use a strong cutting test knife, so as not to damage the new sharpening edge.
